Two Canadian boxers champions of the Pan American Games

Boxing Canada won two gold medals at the Pan American Games, which took place from October 20 to November 5, in Santiago, Chile.
Wyatt Sanford (63.5 kg men) and Tammara Thibault (75 kg women) also qualified for the Paris Olympic Games with these two gold medals during this tournament, which served as qualification for the American continent during the Olympics future.
Canada also collected four bronze medals in Santiago thanks to the performances of Junior Petanqui (men's 71 kg), Bryan Colwell (men's 92 kg), Mckenzie Wright (women's 50 kg) and Charles Cavanagh (women's 66 kg).
These six medals (2 Gold, 4 Bronze/2 boxers qualified for Paris) place Canada fourth among countries in the final table of the Pan Am Games in boxing.
Brazil dominated with a total of 12 medals (4 Gold, 5 Silver, 3 Bronze/11 boxers qualified for Paris), followed by the United States with six medals (2 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze/5 boxers qualified for Paris ) and Cuba with four medals (2 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze/3 boxers qualified for Paris).
