DiBella wins in Thailand

By Vincent Morin

Another pugilist who fought under the colors of GYM was in action on Friday, in the Mecca of kickboxing: the famous Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Jonathan DiBella (12-0 in kickboxing, 2-0 in boxing) defended his One Fighting Championship (One FC) strawweight (125 lbs) kickboxing world title with a five-round unanimous decision win over Australian Danial “Mini T” Williams.

With this triumph in what was his first defense of his title acquired last year, the left-hander from Laval brought his professional record to 12-0 in kickboxing.

Remember that he was initially scheduled to box at the Montreal Casino against Mexican veteran Lamberto Macias on September 7 at the Montreal Casino. The project was ultimately relegated to oblivion due to its contract with One FC.
