Laval super middleweight Erik Bazinyan (32-0, 23 KO) had no difficulty in defeating Argentinian Billi Facundo Godoy (41-8, 20 KO) in the final of the boxing gala presented by Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM), Thursday at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal.

The protégé of Marc Ramsay won by TKO at 2:23 of the third round to retain his NABF super middleweight title.

In the semi-final of the evening, Venezuelan light heavyweight Albert Ramirez (18-0, 15 KO) won by unanimous decision (100-90, 99-91 and 98-92) over the Montrealer of Ukrainian origin Artur Ziiyatdinov (15-2, 12 KOs).

The latter, a former member of EOTTM, replaced the American Charles Foster, who had to withdraw from the clash initially planned against Ramirez due to an injury.

Alberta super-lightweight Steve Claggett (38-7-2, 26 KO) accumulated a ninth consecutive victory by forcing Mexican Marcos Gonzalez Barraza (23-4, 11 KO) to retire after the second round.

Olympian Mary Spencer (8-2, 6 KOs) returned to winning ways after two consecutive losses in the world championship, beating American Sonya Dreiling (6-4, 2 KOs) after just two minutes of one-way action. The fighter from Alabama, recognized especially in the world of bare knuckle boxing (BKB), has never been in the game. His corner wisely threw in the towel after the first gong.

Colombian prospect John Orobio (6-0, 6 KOs) continued his reign of terror at lightweight, stopping Mexican brawler Juan Carlos Ramirez Garcia (5-5, 0 KOs) after two rounds. Orobio was too fast, too powerful and too precise for his rival.

Wilkens Mathieu (7-0, 4 KOs) and Fendero Moreno (4-0, 3 KOs) also continued their triumphant march, remaining active with a second clash in 12 days, respectively dominating Oscar Soto Quintana (6-5, 2 KOs). ) and Ricardo Lara (22-12-2, 10 KO) by abandonment and by referee stoppage.

Note that Avery Martin Duval (10-0-1, 6 KO) had to withdraw from his planned duel against Mexican Jesus Gomez Adorno (6-0, 2 KO) due to health problems.
