After bringing boxing back to the Tohu on September 14 with a WBA Gold Championship bout, Canada Fighting Club is set to return to the same venue on January 31, this time spotlighting up-and-coming talent. This card will showcase local boxing with matchups featuring some of the top prospects in Quebec and Canadian boxing.
Headlining the undercard is a rematch between Blaze Sylvestre (1-1, 0 KOs) and Alex Perron (1-0, 0 KOs). This promises to be an explosive showdown, with Sylvestre determined to avenge his first loss against Perron, who is equally intent on proving why he won the first time. Expect a new war in the ring!
For fans of local flavor, two more all-Quebec showdowns have been confirmed. Stéphane Barthelemy will make his professional debut against Yoan Trottier (0-1, 0 KOs) in the welterweight division, while Winner Bondo (2-0, 0 KOs) takes on Simon Risler (1-0-1, 0 KOs) in a four-round super lightweight contest.
In an inter-Canadian clash, Marcy Chery (0-1, 0 KOs) will seek his first victory against Toronto’s Dixon Micajo (1-0-1, 1 KO). This four-round super middleweight bout promises to stoke the Montreal-Toronto rivalry!
Women’s boxing will also take center stage as Sara Couillard (1-1, 0 KOs) returns to box in Montreal for the first time since June 2022. She’ll face Alexandra Delgado Lopez (0-1, 0 KOs), who is coming in determined to upset the hometown favorite. Meanwhile, Sophie Le Grand will make her major-league debut against Fernanda Araujo (1-1, 0 KOs).
Finally, rising stars Theo Owusu (5-0-1, 3 KOs) and Sammy Morisset (1-0, 1 KO) will also be in action. Their respective opponents will be announced soon, along with the highly anticipated main event we are working hard to finalize!
In the meantime, stay tuned to Canada Fighting’s social media channels and blog for all the latest news in professional boxing, both local and international. Tickets for Revolution 2 are available through the Tohu box office.
