This matchup continues EOTT's trend of showcasing local battles, following the Bazinyan-Phinn and Butler-Volny clashes in 2024.

For Steven Butler, this fight marks his debut in the super middleweight division after two unsuccessful world title attempts at middleweight. Always bold, Butler accepted this challenge without hesitation:
